Can always count on Neds for a quick pick-up while still providing tasty food. Is one of the few or only restaurant in Belvidere that has freshly squeezed orange juice daily! A clean and welcoming environment from all staff members. I once forgot to ask for whip cream when picking up my pumpkin pancakes (pictured), but once I got home I found a side of whip cream (which I had really wanted), thankfully!

Great place for breakfast. They were really busy but had us seated after a 15-minute wait. I had Ned's Omelet, and my daughter had the Oreo pancakes. The omelet's eggs were light and fluffy with small chuncks of gyro meat, feta cheese, and green peppers. It also had hash browns on the side. The hash browns were cooked just right, not burnt on the outside, not raw on the inside. I would order again. My daughter's Oreo pancakes were too rich for me, but she really enjoyed them. Only a couple of critical thoughts. I didn't get a refill on my drink until we were ready to leave. And, our table was located in front of an exit door, literally blocking the door. This is why I knocked a star down for service and atmosphere, respectively. Overall, I would definitely go back.
Great and delicious food. Very large servings and a large variety of dishes. Super clean and great service. We always visit this restaurant when we return to the area. Family like atmosphere.
I give a four star on the food because my soup was kind of cold I like a cup of hot soup. The hash stack was cooked amazingly and customer service was outstanding. Everyone was so friendly even the other patrons. I will definitely be coming back when I'm out that way.
This was our first visit to Ned's. We were definitely impressed with everything, especially the service. The menu has a great selection of items, and we literally had our meals within a few minutes of ordering. I was ready to revisit the following day. If and when we have family visit, this will definitely be a meal destination!
First time going, always busy when we drove by. The inside is much nicer than what I had imagined. The food was great and reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly as well.
I can't say enough nice things about this place. My only complaint is that I live 25 min away from them. The skillets are perfectly cooked, the omelette was hands down one of the best I've had in my life. It was incredibly fluffy, flawlessly soft, and stuffed to the gills with the toppings I chose. I also got the caramel apple pancakes, which were perfect as well, the only issue I had was my personal beef with pecans, but my lovely waiter informed me I can get it without the pecans next time. So that's going to happen ASAP
We stopped at Ned's Diner for breakfast on our way to Madison WI. on a recommendation from a friend from Rockford. I do not know if I would have ever found this place. The staff worked together from the moment we walked in. We got seated immediately, and someone got us drinks. Our waitress came by shortly and asked if we were ready. I ordered the 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, and 2 sausages. My dining companions got the cinnamon French toast with a side of bacon and a mushroom and cheese omelet. The bacon was thick cut and crispy. The pancakes were flufy, savory, and sweet all at once. The omelet was buttery and large. We could have taken half home. Ned's also has a signature hot sauce at each table. I'm not big on hot sauces because I can not handle spicy food; used sparingly, it added a nice kick. It is available for purchase for $7 a bottle.
Went here for breakfast for the first time and honestly really loved it. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were super friendly right from the start. The food came out fresh and hot, and everything tasted homemade and well done — exactly what you want from a good breakfast spot. Portions were satisfying without being overwhelming, and the prices felt fair for the quality. Overall, it was a great first experience and I’ll definitely be coming back.
